The Secretary of Transportation Is a Real Job With Real Responsibilities

The only person who can regulate the airlines under the current law is the secretary of transportation. The airline industry should be run not for profit, but as a public utility because they're too important to be left to like McKinsey consultants, fucking things up this badly. You want to talk about something that would put some fear into the owners of these companies and guess what, you're notOwners of these companies anymore. The United States Treasury is. And I think there are obvious ways you can deter all of this kind of behavior.
