The Importance of Experience in Investigating Crimes
When I get involved with the case, part of what I do is I take a look at the investigating agency. It informs me about their experience. And so my expectation is that this investigating agency probably is not used to dealing with this type of crime. The issue with that oftentimes is that state police, their primary function in many states is patrol, patrolling the highways. They have no real experience and they don't handle a lot of cases because they're just covering the rural areas of the state.
