The Importance of More Time in Negotiations
Congressman Seth Moltin, Democrat of Massachusetts: Speaker has already agreed to 72 hours to review the bill in detail. In your party, Republicans say a red line is that they will have work requirements on food stamps benefits,. Would you vote for that if the president negotiated that? Is the White House giving you any assurances they would not agree to that? There's a lot of studies out there that show the work requirements. Just put onerous burdens on people and don't actually do what the Republicans say they will do.
