The Pinecone and the Pineal Glyph in Pinocchio

The film opens with a scene where Japetto tells his son that when one life is lost, another must grow. It's kind of a foreshadowing of what will happen eventually to JapetTo's son in Pinocchio. The pinecone is the alchemical spot that we actually do all the transmuting of as well and connecting it to these bigger archetypal understandings through like these stories.
