In the overture, we suggest that it is interesting to think about how he never really embraced what we now are a really looking at in the discipline of anthropology. We say, we suggest he might think o as trying to unsettle anthropology. Because our wager is that, for trio, you can't de colonize anthropology. And before that happens, anthropology would never be fully decolonized. That leads beautifully into chapter ten, where he makes the argument that we really need to rethink this term 'peasant'
