Can We Define Intelligence?

i taught a course on intelligence in humans, machines and animals at the university of waterloo ike. i then turned my thoughts into a book called bots and beasts. Can we define what is intelligence? No, i can't, but no, neither can anyone else. So instead of giving definitions, i prefer to characterize concepts as having these three aspects: exemplars, standard examples, typical conditions and explanations. I use a check list of 20 different features and mechanisms to do the comparison to get a really rich assessment of how bots and beasts stuck up compared to s oa.
