Tommy Tommy was a huge record for them and a huge thing too, because nobody had done really a rock opera you had concept records but nothing on that scale right. The 17 song opus told the story of Jimmy, a member of the mods a UK subculture by chronicling his dissatisfaction with life,. It also functioned as an old teenage angst encounter culture rebellion, as well as criticism of the British class economic and educational systems. And finally, it's it tells the story of the who's first fans in the bands earliest days playing clubs and clubs around London in the 60s.
