When i finally went in te therape i turned to the only place i could, and that was the va. And they welcomed me with open arms. A, in the bad rep they get on some things, treatment of petiesty is not one of em. And itii, it saved my life. But a, i began to realize how many people i knew in the aid industry who had no place to go. So i wanted to write about that. The book was therapeutic. I wanted to recognize a group of people i saw do extraordinary things. We don't think about them a lot. It's something people in the aidindustry, thank you very much.
