The Benefits of No Money Down for Active Duty Military
The housing market over the last few years has been so hot that unless you had basically an all cash offer that was over asking, it was not going to be considered. The second most valuable aspect if you are active duty military for 20 years or more is probably the pension. And on the topic of retirement, the military has a TSP instead of a 401k which stands for thrift savings plan. So I wouldn't consider this like a unique military benefit necessarily since it pretty closely mirrors the way things work in the private sector but it is worth knowing.
