I think we as human beings believe that causality is something that we control. We don't like the idea that events are random, that things are out of our control. And so socio-nomics tends to force people to acknowledge that there's other things at work besides our own. It's just trying to look horizontally across the landscape and seeing things in culture and politics and business and trying to weave those together. The market is simply trying to monetize those signs. But I don't think the market itself really, you know, it's a barometer.
