Three friars were riding on the road when a landowner asked them for money. The men said they didn't have any cash, but offered to give him enough so he could stay in an inn and pray that he wouldn't fall back into sin. Little john was certain saint dunstan had blessed them as much as his own heart would allow it. He pulled out 110 pounds from one of the lean Friars' purses while the other took 70 pounds from the otherFriar's purse. They rode at such a high rate of speed until little john caught up with them after half-a-mile.
