Kevenkling is passionate about his involvement with interact, a theatre and visual arts group comp largely of people with varying disabilities. He experimented with ideas about the boundary between life and death in his two thousand 11 play joyce. It's a playful and poetic retelling of the biblical story of lazarus where jesus responds to the plea of lazarus sisters and brings him back to life after he's been dead for four days.
