i think western economics, if i can call it that, is limited in its ability to properly calibrate or cost the a costs of freedom. So for example, i can eat as much as i like, am there's a risk that i could end up with type to dibetes. For a authoritarian government to say, gosh, this is a private benefit of me walking around down town, but actally, society cost of me infecting society? The government has a liver to say, everybody's staying home....
