What's the Landscape Like Right Now?
Marijuana, which is cannabis that has more than 0.3% THC in it, is still considered to be federally illegal. However, marijuana is legal in 37 states for medical use. In 2018, a bill was passed that essentially legalized hemp with very low levels of THC. And certain states have different regulatory frameworks for how these different plants and the products are regulated.
