Ukranians - The Origins of Ucrane
Ucranianess was always a kind of identity associated with anti ledism, anti establishment. It was an identity that was preserved in the countryside at a time when there wasn't a ukranian state. They were very brutally oppressed by the russian czars and imperial empire. The bolsheviks gave them a special role in the intesove union. But they failed to create their own state after revolting during bulshack revolution. Ucranians became pro european democracy post-soviet era.
