Frank Vasquez: I think you're probably right that it's probably not worth it to be using a 401k in your situation. My experience is that 401ks do not play well for people outside the United States unless they're American citizens are going to come back. If you are buying a security in a 401k that withholds taxes like a Canadian company might do, you're going to be SOL there too and trying to get your money back.
