" rhythm is something that's more visually, you could actually see it where it's a connection between visual elements on the surface," he says. "Gesture is more felt. You can indicate the gesture of an arm with some squiggly like, flowy stuff that doesn't actually represent what's on there." He adds: "You're literally trying to find connections between the shapes, like how the muscle flows into another muscle and then how it goes into the tip of the finger or whatever"
