The IMF's Vision for a Global CBDC Settlement Platform
The IMF released their vision for the future monetary system, which would be a cross-border CBDC settlement platform. The central bank would also make APIs available to private sector firms, who could program consumer facing frontends and features such as automated payments. Last week the Bank of England in partnership with the BIS Innovation Hub released their findings from a field test of a CBDC technology.
