Hugely successful hogarth press was founded in the year 19 17. Author virginia wolf and her husband leonard started their own publishing company. They printed 150 copies of two stories, hand sewn and bound with paper covers. It took two and a half months to complete the print run. But this is the history of literature, not the history of printing presses.
