Is There a Capacity to Have a Republic?
i wanted to the the thing about exercising judgment, what i felt really excited about reading the article on ignorance was that i thought it yet picked up on some of the themes from the machiavelli episode. So then there is this way in which the capacity to have a republic is not passable under these conditions. And you have to bring it into being. You have to create the sphere, but people ant don't have the capacities to do it. Like this isn't a philosophical exercise, but it actually, like raises these philosophical questions that you wouldn't have gotten m under different circumstances. I just thought that was really interesting.
