The Ticktok Effect

I think that the tech companies have spent lobbying money to keep legislation away from them. They are making hand-over-faced profits because of the amount of eyeballs they have and the amount of data that they that they are in control of so all of this is accelerating. I don't see any of it getting fixed by the end but we're looking at years of it in front of us. There are great journalists out there really doing the front line work on outing these issues and staying on top of them. The question is are they going to be heard? Are people going to pay attention to them? That's a little worrying.
