Why Is It Important if Machines Don't Learn the Way a Human Brain Does?
Why is it important if machines don't learn the way a human brain does? Well that depends on the application, right? If we want to use these models as scientific models of human language learning and or human concept representation then obviously we want them to approximate the way that humans do it. For more sophisticated applications you really want a model that is able to think more like a human does for that I think we need to move beyond the current techniques that are used.
