The Shame of Being a Half Child

For Lara, her trajectory for her life really turned out quite sad. She is really kind of more like one of these street people at the end with just down on her luck and not really having opportunities to grow in advance. It was like this shame around being a half child, especially in a country with a big sex tourism industry. And so there's this assumption of like, oh, you know, your parents were sex workers or even, or your mother was a sex worker as is often the case because it's a Western father.
