Austin Wiggan Jr's life may have been beige on the surface but his one Achilles heel was a profound belief in superstition. As Allene wrote it was left to Austin to fulfill the last of his mother's predictions. And when his daughters were old enough he told them that they would be taking voice and music lessons. There was no debate his word was law and his mother's prophecies were gospel. But as Taylor writes the issue was that simple chance had borne out the orgory so far but it takes more than that to form the world's greatest band. Thus what followed was a farcical folly of misguided mindset in every which way.
