Is There a Multiverse Theory?

In pyche you walk into a control room, you see knobs turn to a certain e number for all the values of the universe. That's sort of an explanation, and it doesn't answer questions like who chooses those values? Or is it truly random, like quanta, mechanically random? Are there an infinite number of them?
