How to Get the Most Out of a Book

Make sure when you're structuring your reading year that you have different things you want to get out of each book. You can tell so much about another, and indeed you can reveal so much about yourself by virtue of how you respond to a book. Deep Reading the Great Books is work and challenging work at that. My next reading goal for you is to ensure that you're keeping in mind this idea of designating our own meaning. Whether life holds meaning or not is entirely down to us. And the way that we can develop and reinforce meaning is to plug in to the meaning on an individual level with each and every book.
