The Revolutionary Era and the Napoleonic Era

Where do we draw a line between the revolutionary era and the napoleonic era? I think there are three good candidates: 18 o four, when napoleon crowned himself emperor. And then the coup of 18 brimer in 17 99 that brought him to power in the first place. So though this will be a let down for a few of you out there, we will not be plunging into the Napoleonic wars.
