The Ghost of Walter Raleigh

Walter Raleigh was part of england's defence against the spanish armada as well as the tudor conquest of ireland. We don't know much at all about walter's childhood or youth, but he eventually went to oriol college oxford. He didn't finish his studies though. In 15 69, he went to france with the devon volunteers o fight on the side of the huguenots in the french wars of religion. His family was part of the testant gentry, and they weren't particularly well off or prominent,. They had been in devonshire for a very long time, and they had a lot of connections to people who were
