The Importance of a Counter Terror Relationship With Saddam Hussein
If George H. W. Bush had allowed Saddam Hussein to swallow up Kuwait, it would have been worse for the Iraqi people than leaving him in place. He was empowered three times as long as the nazi regime and that does a lot of damage when you have ethnic and sectarian groups being played against each other under that kind of repression. If he were to fall at some point I think there's a fair amount of blame to say that america really wasn't prepared to administer a country like iraq.
