The largest study out of all the 700 plus that they reviewed and whittled down to 11 was 12 individuals. They use different types of vinegar in the studies as well. So there's a lot of variation in the study. The net effect does appear to be beneficial, but I think it would depend on a number of different factors like the glycemic index of the actual meal one is consuming.
