The Radical Solidarity That Exists Between Us

We tend, in our sin, to focus upon those things that distinguish ourselves from the other. And so ego comes into being for us out of our sin, because now we see ourselves as distinguished from the other and see the other as a threat. The only way that I'm allowed to look at them and engage them is to love them. That my love for the other, if it is to be Christ-like, is to always to see that which God has created them to be.
