The Importance of Truth in Scientific Data

Most scientists get it right and they're trying to do the right thing. Most scientific institutions are reasonably trustworthy. They might be wrong, but probably not sort of in a sort of a Bayesian way. There are some things you can look at to give yourself some idea whether the experts are wrong or whether scientists are wrong. People trying to forge clinical trials will often make the control group and the placebo group look too similar on every different thing you measure them on.
