Girls in the Netherlands Play Less Sports Than the Boys
In the Netherlands, Velestri works with girls who are not from European backgrounds and are mainly Muslim. At this Islamic school in Amsterdam, Rocky's organization for Velestri is running a football training session. They begin with a class on a different topic each week, such as dealing with trauma or resolving conflict. And then they play football. The exercises are designed to reinforce lessons from the classroom and to improve their football skills.
