How to Deal With Depression
I've had two depressive episodes in my life. The inciting factors were the same. Both times I got isolated and I got bored. And I didn't have like a hyper fixation or something to do or think about that I was passionate about. When I'm not able to have projects in my life, whether that project is simple, like putting together a shelf or large, like working on a big project at work. That's where I get a lot of sense of reward satisfaction motivation. But with ADHD we don't tend to regulate dopamine like everybody else. We feel motivated by novelty and pressure and things that kind of get that going. We don't feel motivated by urgency or importance or responsibility
