The Risks of Speculative Methods
What are the kind of risks if you're thinking, acting, doing speculatively? You've sort of gestured towards them already. I think this tension between playful engagements and responsibility to the future to participants is where that big risk is. There's pragmatic aspects of that when you think about for example how research is supported and funded particularly in places like academic circles. Without without really good futures questions there's going to be a lot of ideas and perspectives and possibilities that don't come into being.
