The Power of Biology in Pharmaceuticals
Most pharmaceuticals today are either made by organisms or could be made by organisms. How? Well, the power of biology. The problem is we're not going to take willow trees with us and probably not huge plates of a penicillium mold. But what we could do is take those capabilities to make these biological compounds and put them in a form factor that's tiny and hopefully has a resting stage. And then use all sorts of miniaturized purification methods and bingo we have an astropharmacy.
