The Importance of Having Too Many Opportunities
Big data has opened up a lot of new types of business problems to be addressed. The challenge is not the lack of opportunities, it's an organization to have too many. It happens when you try to do three or four of these things simultaneously as you dilute the capabilities of the organization. Organizations do a very poor job of prioritizing and do a verypoor job of focusing.
