How Do You Rate a Task as Difficult?

Teachers and parents can use a simple scale to help kids understand how difficult they perceive the task to be. Motivation is complex, as i said, it's learned over time but what motivation? When motivation is low, it often means that the brain is perceiving something to be too difficult or not worth while enough.
