Is Your Venture Capital Fund Focused on Mobility?

Michael Oren: My focus on mobility actually goes back almost 20 years and it was a function of a nonprofit advocacy group that I helped my buddy Robbie Diamond get off the ground. We spend about five years and about a billion dollars to make battery switching electric cars work, but we were not successful. After that, I kind of got obsessed with the idea and that was when I started to look at who was going to bring EVs to market. But the second guy I met he thought maybe so you know the first guy that of course was Elon Musk and the second guy was Shaya Gazi.
