In 2012, De Blasio worked on a congressional campaign in Wisconsin. He says it was his first real campaign life experience. After that he went back home to New York and started working for political consulting firm Red Horse Strategies. In the end, "it wasn't something I aspired to," de Blasio said of running your own communications firm.
