The Banking Protocol - What's the Banking Protocol?
The report calls for an acceleration of what's called the banking protocol. This is a sort of good practice for how staff identify potential victims of fraud. Katie and Catherine, you're obviously still with us because we spoke to this woman who contacted us after a sizable chunk of her mother's estate was stolen by fraudsters. They stole some of her personal details via a delivery text stamp and then used that information a few days later as part of their crime. She also spoofed her bank's phone number to make it look like they were calling from her bank.
