Local first is great when you're working offline, but that same superpower becomes your kryptonite. You need to come back to the office and suddenly you have to wait for 15 or 30 seconds while all of the rest of your work has been almost instant. "It's absolutely fixable. It's not really a flaw of the approach. It's an engineering deficiency that we will fix it eventually," he says.
