How to Make a Joke With Large Language Models

In 2022, OpenAI announced how they could summarize entire books like Alice in Wonderland. But I spent a lot of time with Shakespeare plays and I immediately knew that this summary was exactly wrong. And there's a deeper point here as well. Current AI always fails to catch jokes that are thrown at it. It doesn't get jokes because it doesn't have a model of what it is to be a human. The difficulty in the physical world leads me to the question: When President Biden walks into a room, does his head come up for air? This is famously difficult for an AI to answer even though it takes six hours to dry on GPT.
