I'm way more relaxed about this whole controversy about dude Netflix have a responsibility to put a disclaimer on the front of the show saying this is fiction. I think that's deeply patronising to an audience who understands the contract that they're in with the filmmakers. For me it's more actually a bigger philosophical question about the role of fiction in a crisis of objective reality and how putting more narratives into a world where there are too many narratives, is that helpful or unhelpful? That doesn't mean I don't think we have a responsibility every single time to make sure we are not actively misrepresenting someone's view or personality or actions for a political agenda.
