I think the first song that I wrote in Death Cab that really kind of achieved that cinematic quality was a song called Company Calls Epilogue on the album We Have The Facts We're Voting Yes. It's like they are these kind of pastiche of imagery that works in the context of the song to kind of create a mood but it's not necessarily creating it like a movie in your mind. And for me, I wanted people to hear the songs and be flooded with imagery that they could kind of see in their mind's eye.
