i think the question you constantly need to be asking is really never ask about one side of the equation. Never ask about features or price. You always want to be looking at a price performance ratio. If it's going to save you development time, that is gold. And so i think that there's often a kind of this cool obsession where we look at features and assume that features equals benefits.
