How I Got Started as a Marine Mechanic

I was in the fire department at 18, and I went to a dance. A fellow from Southampton, New York,. had a little marina there, a pecanic marina. And he was looking for a mechanic, and I wasLooking for a place to start. We hooked up in the winter of 74, probably February, March, and in May, we shook hands; moved out and rented a shop. That's how I started as a Marine, my own Marine mechanic, Dave Bofill Marine.
