Intravenis From Bolicis With Patients With Ischemic Stroke and Recent Ingestion of Direct Oral Anticoagulants
AHA and European guidelines recommend avoiding IV thrombolytics in acute ischemic stroke patients with DOAC use within the last 48 hours. This retrospective study overall does not support the current guideline recommendations that exist to avoid IV thrombectomy for these patients. A prospective randomized control trial is likely needed before I would recommend IV throm bolytics for this population.
