The threshold to remove a speaker of the house has always been there, but the threshold hasn't been the same. There were all sorts of other concessions, whether it had to do with the budget, whether it was committee concessions. McCarthy said publicly that he didn't make any promises for people on committees. But the reality is there are some concessions behind closed doors on what they're going to investigate.
