The ability to catch a ball if it's inborn, must be overlain by some other things. We could still be that they have the genetic knowledge, but they need to physically learn the coordination as in like they need to get stronger or acquire balance and then certain things can kick in. So I think dogs can catch things inherently better than humans. They can catch things unbelievably fast and accurately, at least adult dogs. But I think in a ball game, people are doing a lot more than catching. In tennis, you have to make a split second decision in less time than your reaction time to decide whether to go for the ball or not. That process has an entirely conscious component because
